Dedication to Each Other

This is admittedly a lazy day, hence the spate of whimsical entries. This, however, means something to us. As long-time readers may know, "our" song, early on, was "Cherish" by the Association. Prodded by Jeff, we have settled on a new song to represent us. It's an oldie but 'still' a goodie.

STILL THE ONE (Orleans)

We've been together since way back when
Sometimes I never want to see you again
But I want you to know, after all these years
You're still the one I want whisperin' in my ear

You're still the one I want to talk to in bed
Still the one that turns my head
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

I looked at your face every day
But I never saw it 'til I went away
When winter came, I just wanted to go
Deep in the desert, I longed for the snow

You're still the one that makes me laugh
Still the one that's my better half
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

You're still the one that makes me strong
Still the one I want to take along
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

Changing, our love is going gold
Even though we grow old, it grows new

You're still the one that I love to touch
Still the one and I can't get enough
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

You're still the one who can scratch my itch
Still the one and I wouldn't switch
We're still having fun, and you're still the one

You are still the one that makes me shout
Still the one that I dream about
We're still having fun, and you're still the one...

We would like to dedicate this not only to each other, but to send it out to all those who feel the same. May it be ever thus.

Peace.

I feel this song is singing the 'Blues'.    I feel that the 'Blues' represent a longing and yearning to make right a situation and exclaim a feeling.    Beautiful words!   mark

Love all the whimsical entries. Life is too short to not have have whimsey in it...every day if possible. Cherish is perhaps one of my very favorite song. You're Still the One is a most respectable "new" song for you 2.  But I don't think anything could replace Cherish.  I know both of them remind me of the love of my life (we just had our 34th anniversary.)Ain't love grand?
hugs and blessings...Barb

The two of you were obviously made for each other. And you recognize it in all ways and take great joy and comfort in that knowledge. This is so romantic. Mmhmm...and they lived happily ever after.

::hugs::
